I just came across this website today, great site.  I was with the 2/18th at Ft. Lewis from Aug. 1968 to Dec 1969.
 
I remember the unit will.  In Dec of 1969 the unit was shipped back to Germany for a 25 -day training that was great, had a good time.  I was a wireman and drive for the XO.  I joined the 2/18th after 13 months in Korea with the 6/12 Artillery (175mm) .
